May 6th-9th

May 6th

She ate mango today! Well, okay, she gnawed on a bit in her mesh feeder. But she seemed to quite like it. We have her high chair set up now, and she seems to (mostly) like it.

We had our first mango! Isabella hasn't put *anything* in her mouth but we got one of those mesh feeders. She licked it a few times, then grabbed it and stuffed it in her mouth. She's now added toes and a toothbrush to the edible list.

Anyone else still not rolling over? She'll reach over and grab anything but no rolling. Sniff.

We had a quad shot this morning, of which I got 3/4. The other 1/4 went all over the bird's enclosure. Sigh. Guess that's why she was fussing.

She's really leaning out to grab things. She isn't so interested in toys, but she really wants to grab whatever you're working on, and whatever's on the table. She'll end up on her tummy while trying to grab things, but isn't very happy about it.

She's been working on high C again. Plus some other bubbly sounds.

May 9th

Sat outside on the grass today. She tried to clip the grass one handful at a time. Hope she didn't swallow any! She is really much happier sitting up then lying down these days. She was very keen on grabbing individual blades of grass.

Naps are stabilizing, a bit. Went grocery shopping in the early afternoon - that helped her get to sleep as well. Now if only she would not wake up at 3,4,5...

Went to visit the day care. It's not ideal - although she seemed to like to look at the other people. I think we may have problems with sleep, though, and abandonment. She is really into mommy carrying her around these days, and doesn't seem to deal well with me not being
there, especially when she gets tired. It's sweet - she reaches her arms out to me and grabs my neck - but it does make getting anything done really hard.

It's getting very difficult to sit with her and work - she wants to grab whatever you're working with. She pounds on the keyboard, drags everything off the table... Especially paper and books, which makes it hard to read while nursing or she's suppose to be playing with her toys. She's also popping on and off to look at the screen. Unfortunately, this is the same cue as the poop cue, so we've been a bit off on the EC thing. She also wants your undivided attention. It's very sweet though, because she pops off, smiles at me, then goes back on. It's become a bit of a game.

She's starting to grow some hair in. It looks very blonde, what there is of it. She still has a red spot under her nose and a big red mark on the back of her neck, although the one under her nose is fading.

May 10th

On another topic, anyone else getting I only want mama? Poor Bill has been trying to keep her occupied so I can get some work done, but she starts crying, and then stops when I go to her/pick her up she sees me. He's feeling a bit of a second class citizen.
