We've been working on Isabella's Arnis skills. She's pretty good a blocking, and *really* good at getting her picture taken with her "sticks". Every time she picks them up she wants her picture taken with them. We've been having sleep problems - she just doesn't fall asleep. She lies down, then sings to herself for awhile, then gets up and comes padding in, looking for mom. We do this a couple times around... Apparently she's been taking really long naps at day care to make up for it. And sleeping in late. Sigh.
We broke out the pool last weekend, because it was so icky sticky hot. We could probably just leave her out there all day... she splashes with the hose, spins toys in the pool, puts her chair in and out. Gives me time to get some gardening done. And we've discovered that she can open the gates, which we've been using to prevent her from wandering off.
Daddy went on-line shopping and got lots of pretty, bright clothes for a certain person who really likes her "pretty frocks". Seems like we have a girlie-girl. I made the mistake of going down to the climbing gym while the St. Louis Marathon was running. Around my house, down to around the gym. Took me 1/2 an hour to get into the parking lot, then I ended up killing time for 3 hours to avoid waiting in line to get back out (still took me a 20 minutes). We did, though, discover that there is a trampoline with bungie cords in Union Station. Isabella thought that was a lot of fun (she's just heavy enough). And we found a smiley face balloon. But, basically, a disaster of a day. And remind me not to take her into a toy store again - she wanted one of everything, but at least she settled for one plastic horse.
