Half moon bay

Half moon bay is a campsite right on the beach (and almost right in town, too). We just stayed one night, because that was all I could book. It's smallish, and basically one big flat grassy area with a loop around the middle. The plus side is it's great for kids to bike around, it's right near the beach, and it isn't too far away. Down side is, pretty crowded and noisy (although they do a good job at getting folks to quiet down at night). Weren't too many RVs when we were here (more families with tents) but a lot more RVs when we went back in September.

You'll notice that we have a picture of both me & Bill - that's because my friends Pam & Mike came along. Since they live right off of 92... it was great to have some adult company, and Isabella really took a shine to Mike.

Ian is still crawling, but likes to stand up, too. Not quite as much dirt as Point Reyes, but more prickly plants. Which stick to fuzzy bear suits. And you wouldn't *believe* how much sand baby clothes can carry!

Ian slept part of the afternoon while Isabella built sand castles and made sand angles. Still not too keen about sticking toes in the water.

We attended a party at our friend's Ken & Sally. Way too much excitement for small kids to go to sleep! Ian ate half the watermelon and Isabella ate half the cookies. Perhaps that's why they had trouble falling asleep? It was funny to see Ian play with some of their toys - the same ones that Isabella played with when we visited a couple years ago. Julia and Isabella had a great time together. Isabella just *loves* it when someone bigger than her pays attention to her! They looked for things in drawers, drew pictures, read books...
