Catching up

Isabella's finally ok with pony tails, and actually has enough hair to have them. Lynn or Quita usually put them in; I don't know how they do it with such teeny rubber bands. Brushing is ok, too, although still leads to some tears.

We've had some regression with the potty thing, just a couple days where she just didn't want to go. But no accidents this weekend, so maybe she's over it. We were all kind of sick last week, and I was out of town the week before, which didn't help.

We went camping this weekend, since it got all warm and toasty. It was nice and quiet, and we had fun on the playground and bouncing around the tent. Unfortunately, there was a tornado watch in the morning, and the tent nearly blew over in the wind (freaking Isabella out) so we ended up going back home pretty early, no hiking. We ended up going down to the zoo later, only to arrive just as the carousel was closing. She took it pretty well.

I picked up some necklaces when I was in New Orleans, and even acquired some by catching them (the big one was caught by another person in the group). She wasn't that thrilled with the feather boa, though, so I've put that away until she's a little older.

We went to the pool last weekend. She was freaked out at first by the water falling from the spinning things over the pool, but once she decided it was ok, she had lots of fun "swimming". Lots of work for mom & dad keeping her up and carrying her through the water. She could probably swim on her own with a kickboard. Still doesn't want to put her head underwater.
