Grandma's visit

Grandma came out to visit and made Isabella a happy camper. Made mom happy too, since the answer to "Do you want me to do that or Grandma?" was inevitably "Grandma". Great to be a second class citizen again!

We went looking for the pick your own peaches, but turns out the farm-ride part doesn't open until September. So we ended up at Grant's farm, instead, which wasn't exactly a unique idea - took us about an hour to get in from the parking lot. But once there we had a good time. There was a carousel, which Grandma took Isabella on, and we sat through the animal show (which Isabella actually watched some of this time) and then we found the mist bridge, and Isabella ran through over and over again. I thought I had cleverly packed a change of clothes, but Bill had just as cleverly *unpacked* the clothes, so we ended up with a new T-shirt.

We did end up getting peaches, and making peach cobbler, as well. Isabella helped, of course, although I didn't get any pictures. Here's her making play doh animals, which is almost the same thing.

We went to Caitlin & Denis's for dinner, where Isabella met Salvie the doggie. She wasn't all that keen to get close, but she was keen to order the doggie around. Which is what she does so well.

Sunglasses have become a big hit, too. She's working on her California Girl imitation. We finally managed to get her hair cut - we all went and got hair cuts at the same time. It does look a little better, but still messy.

Grandma also took Isabella to the zoo while I went to work, but she must have been feeling a bit off because she got cranky and tired pretty fast. Despite getting to ride the carousel, her favorite thing.

One soggy girl... she does like playing in the water, though. We did go down to the pool on Sunday, and Isabella swam around in her swim ring while mom bobbed up and down.
