Christmas

The less said about our trip to Medford the better... suffice it to say that we left Tuesday and arrived Thursday. We did, however, get to visit with our friend Jay in SF, who was dropping his other half off. The kids were very good, despite being dragged around from hotel room to plane with only what we were carrying (the wee computer with CCBB came in very handy). We did have one melt down in the restaurant, I forget about what. Fortunately, I packed extra clothes for the kids, and one spare shirt for us.

Of course the best thing about visiting is cousins - poor Calin had Isabella following her around the entire time. The only time when we saw Isabella was when she was asking where Calin was.

By the time we left there was a serious need for sleep since she was running around constantly, and forget napping! We made gingerbread houses (Isabella's was covered with every green skittle she could find). She's sort of got the if-then consequence thing. She'd go eat an orange slice and then come and ask if she could have a skittle because she'd eaten something good. Then go eat another orange slice... her favorite thing was her hello kitty pez dispenser. The first day she went through three packets (mom, dad, and grandma...)

She quite liked her keyboard as well - or at least the *microphone* which, unfortunately, doesn't respond to the volume control. And every song was "this is my favorite!"

It was very nice to have lots of people to hand Ian off to. He didn't mind. Didn't even object to Casper nosing around. Isabella was much better this time - was even petting Casper by the end and ordering him around.

Isabella also helped drive the hay out to the sheep! She wasn't so keen on Jake the donkey - wanted to be carried if we were even in sight of him.

On the way back Isabella threw up three times. I'm not feeding her airport fruit ever again. Then I proceeded to get flattened by some illness over New Year's. Sigh.
