After talking about it since before Christmas, we finally made it to the climbing gym with Louis. The great thing about bringing along a little friend is the competition - although much time was spent "hanging around", they did actually climb. Isabella made it a good ways up the wall (by herself!) several times. She got about this high though, and decided it was high enough. (Yes, Marc applied a bit of "perspective forshortening"). There was also a tunnel, we discovered, which they spent even more time running around in. All in all, a very successful rainy morning at the gym. Not a bad source of entertainment for $10 (I didn't have to pay, my sole job being belayer and hanger of children).
Marc thought the very best part of the climbing was the harness - very handy for simply picking up small children and hauling them where you want to go. He thinks he should get one for everyday use. Have to admit, the thought is appealing!
