Somewhere in here we actually had a weekend at home. Grandma took the kids while we headed to the Los Altos wine and art fair, where we proceeded to buy many things for the kids, including awesome towels with hoods. Isabella is a princess, of course. Blame Bill for the chicken.
"Beba" is now officially "Bella", and Ian has graduated to multiple word sentences, all punctuated with "mommy" in the middle. "No blue, mommy, no blue" (when informed that his favorite cup is actually purple, not blue). "Daddy train, mommy, daddy train!". "Mommy right here" (right here being a favorite new addition). And
he has been heard to count to 10, sing the abc, twinkle twinkle, itsy bitsy spider, and abc dinosaur songs. Actually, he usually asks for Isabella to do a rendition of the last one ("no mommy, bella turn"). And just in case you didn't hear what he said, he'll say it for you over, and over, and over again...

They still play together a lot. They build forts out of the couch cushions and jump/fall of the couch into them, or bury themselves. They love to bounce on the bed. Their favorite thing to do now is to get in the shower and play with a couple cups and the (detachable) shower head. Outside in the back is good, too - we turn on the hose just a little bit and they get everything wet. Well, Ian gets his clothes wet. Isabella gets in her swim suit and then doesn't really get wet. And sometimes they play with dolls, mostly Ian mimicking everything Isabella does.
Isabella had learned to do "handstands" with her feet on the couch. She really loves her gymnastics class. Ian mostly wants to jump on the trampoline. She also puts on the Anuna DVD and sings along and dances. She does a pretty good version of the Gaudette song (in Latin!).
I went on a field trip with her class to the farmer's market. The kids went through several bags of popcorn, boxes of tomatoes, and berries before we left. Great thing about carrying food is that the kids don't wander off too far... Isabella also got a couple of bracelets (as did her friend Gracie) because mom's a Sucker :)
