Michael at the zoo

I took the kids to the zoo with Michael and Michael's mom. The rock at the entrance was, as always, a bit hit, with the water and the brass animals. A bit nerve racking for us parents watching them stand and run around on the top of the rock.

There was a fair amount of negotiation about what to go see. We ended up spending some time in the monkey house, more time in the reptile house, and made a trip to the giraffes. Ian was getting pretty tired and cranky by the end, as was Isabella.

The biggest hit was the slushies. Pure sugar over water with a fair amount of color in it that was not found in nature.
