The folks at the Copper Mountain day care sent us the following two pictures (the hat and snow suit are theirs). Isabella was quite enamored of her hat, apparently, and kept going to get it whenever anyone put on their jacket. She does seem to like to go outside - she asks to get in the stroller or to go out the door pretty much every day. Unfortunately, it's been a bit cold this week to go out much.On the plus side, the folks in Canada finally (!) got our box, so we should get our own snowsuit back in a week or two.
Isabella's been sick for the last several days. She was really fussy on Friday when the baby sitter was here - just wailing and crying and not wanting to eat.
On Saturday morning she threw up on me three times (you'd think I'd have learned after the first one and carried a towel around...) She spent most of the morning just leaning against my chest. Occasionally she'd push up, look at me, then either collapse back or put both hands over her face. Very much the drama queen.Ann came over to take Isabella so we could go see a movie, but Isabella just seemed too sick to leave. Sigh. She spent the rest of the weekend nursing, or sleeping, and just generally being miserable. And, of course, Dad came down with it too...
Being that ill did not stop her, of course, from playing some. Here she is trying to climb onto the bird carrier. She got stuck and demanded I get her back down again... She seems to think it's great fun to put Penguin in the box, out of the box, in the box, try to drag the box around... She's figured out the velcro closure, which is not obvious. She was miserable at day care on Wed - just kept asking "up". Snot everywhere. All of the babies seem to have runny noses.
We did go to music class on Monday. She was a bit out of it, though, and didn't perk up until just as we were leaving. Turns out one of the other kids from day care, Ella, is also in the class.
She's getting very good at shaking her head "no" when she doesn't want something. It's very cute and quite a dramatic shake. We've been putting her to bed earlier than usual, often without a bath, because she just seems exhausted. She passes out almost instantly. Unfortunately, she's been coughing and restless, although she did better last night. She sleeps in until 8 something. So she must be ill!
Since she hasn't been eating much (except for nursing) there hasn't been much coming out the other end... although, except for the rather nasty stuff on Sunday, she's been pretty good about going in the toilet. And dry several mornings, even after nursing most of the night.
