Camera, Car, Cloth

New computer, so am having issues with getting everything working again. Sigh.

Someone's become a real chatterbox. Let's see, some new words are: Cloth, camera, brush, tooth brush, teeth, around (as in the laundry goes around), boom (as in Isabella fall down go boom) whee, juice, shovel, elephant, chimpanzee (ok, those last two don't come out quite as clear as some other words), strawberry, blueberry, rain (of which we've had a lot), hot (pats her food or touches the water)... she's starting with some "sentences" too - her favorite combination is "help with -", as in get me juice, shovel, etc. We have heard "brush teeth" as well.

She's modeling even more. Here she's putting a diaper on bunny. She's been feeding thumper (the brown bunny) cheerieos and Penguin got some orange slices tonight. Actually, I think she was trying to get Penguin to nurse this morning, but that's another story. And she often indicates she's tired by tucking Penguin into bed.

We dropped her off at day care on Thursday and told her to say hi to her friends. So she went around to everyone, got right up in their face and waved "hi" while saying hi (oh, yeah - she can say everyone's name at day care as well). She apparently also "helps" everyone get ready to go outside by getting their jackets out of the cubbies and giving it to them then pushing them towards the door... Also very helpful with the babies, getting the toys, rocking them, and making baby burritos out of them with the blanket (a bit over enthusiastic, perhaps).

She still likes playing with mom's keyboard, but I actually got some work done today while she played on her own at work and at home. She's become very fond of Mr. Potato Head at work (yes, it's for 4 yrs and up...)

Went to visit Matt, Vandana, and Dylan (6mos) this weekend. He's so tiny! Isabella had fun carrying Vandana's purse around (which is as big as she is). Isabella actually has muscles, now. She seems to have inherited mom's legs... She likes marching around the house, stomping her feet.

We're reliably getting "diaper" and a point to her diaper when she has to poop; usually get a "potty" and a sad face when she pees in her diaper (doesn't quite seem to notice when she has to go, just when she is going). She likes putting the diaper together but isn't so keen on wearing it. Can't keep a bib on her, either - she keeps pulling it off. She likes to play peek-a-boo with the shower curtain while sitting on the potty.

Still sleeping through the night. Naps are still all over the place. She has been nursing pretty heavily this weekend; might be growing again. She's up to 22.5 pounds, at least as far as our scale goes (she'll stand on it sometimes). She headbutts Bill on command, which may not be a great thing ;-) especially when she wants to play with me and I'm not paying attention...
