At the park we went for a short hike and played in the water some. She really liked watching the other kids splash around, but was somewhat unsure about splashing around herself. She did, however, enjoy playing with my sunglasses and dropping her hat off the side of the carrier.
Unfortunately, the sleeping side of the adventure was not so good. We had neighbors with a loud stereo, followed by a pack of feral boys running through our camp at 10pm playing some sort of tag game. And Isabella went ballistic - not sure if it was just being over stimulated and in a strange place, but she was back to her scream and scream and scream trick. Finally got her to nurse to sleep (we were almost desperate enough to put her in the car and drive around until she fell asleep). But she didn't sleep very well, and it was really difficult to keep her sleeping bag over her. And since it got cold, that was a pretty big problem. Ended up sharing my new (fortunately wider) pad most of the night because I was either nursing or wrapped half around her to keep her warm.

She's a bit snuffly and clingy today, and sleeping a lot, so she may just have been coming down with something. I did manage to get a lot of yard work done on Sunday, because she just wants to be outside all of the time.
She managed to get one of her own shoes on all by herself. She's really good at getting our shoes on and then shuffling around. This afternoon she got very upset when I didn't take my shoes off when I came in the door. She can now distinguish between shoes, sandals, and slippers, calling them each by name.
Other words that come to mind: Squirrel, big doggie (the barking dog next door), bread, jam, juice, munchies, shoulder, toes, paper, pajamas, up and down (the garage door).
Today at music class she touched the guitar for the first time.
Her favorite toys at the moment are balls - she's getting pretty good at throwing them. She also really likes sunglasses, but she's bent another pair so I think we'll have to stop letting her play with them. She also had a grand old time playing in the car - turning knobs, the steering wheel, etc. Even climbed into her car seat on her own. She's also been playing with putting her bicycle helmet on her head, particularly while sitting on the potty, which makes for an amusing image. Penguin's fallen from favor and bunny is definitely In. She likes her new books, particularly the ones with things that move.
