Playing together

We visited grandma and went to Rengstorf park, which has a concrete slide (you sit on a cardboard box and down you go). Isabella and Ian took turns - Isabella likes to help "catch" Ian at the bottom of slides (keep him from sliding off). When Ian was really little I'd put Ian behind her and down they'd go together. At this point, though, he's completely fearless about going down anything, even a steep slide on a box...

Sharing clothes - in this case Eitan's gloves. I didn't quite catch Ian with both gloves on. Blanket tug of wars are another favorite - usually Ian chasing after Isabella attached by a blanket.

Throwing stuffed animals from the top of the bunk bed (guess who's learned how to climb all the way up there). They throw them off the top of the bed, mom throws them back up again.

Climbing all over each other - well, usually Ian climbing on top of Isabella. Which is fine until he steps on her head, pulls her hair, or tries to bite. We're working on the hitting/biting thing - straight to a timeout (alone in his crib). He gets it, but keeps trying to see if we'll still put him in a timeout.

Flipping over - Pick them up by the hands and have them do a back flip. Ian needs a lot of help - I have to flip him over by bumping him with his legs, and his legs are almost too short to reach the ground. Isabella can actually climb up and flip herself over, although she really likes an "assisted jump" approach.

And bouncing together on anything soft they can find.

And a perennial favorite - laundry baskets! Ian's almost big enough to get in without tipping it over, but not quite. They like to sit in them together, at least until Ian falls all over Isabella.

Slinkys and the plastic tube are good for pulling around, too. And blocks - Isabella will actually build towers for Ian to knock over. Although Ian's usually issues a pre-emptive strike if he can get away with it.

Sit and spin - they both sort of fit. They'll also try to both get on the zebra, although I'm not sure how much longer that's going to work.

Isabella is also very good about sharing her candy and cookies with Ian. Ian's not so good about sharing - he'd grab everything if he could get away with it.

And probably the absolute favorite is --- bubbles! Pam took some good videos of Isabella blowing bubbles and giggling. At some point I'll get a picture of Ian, but it's hard to do when blowing the bubbles. Isabella likes popping bubbles, catching them on the wand, and popping them with her tongue. Ian likes to put the wand in the bottle then eat it. Go figure, bubble stuff tastes *terrible*.
