There's a mouse on the couch

Sunday morning we woke up to find all of the almonds gone from the container. Well, I found some of them in a pile next to the bird's cage, and another handful (eaten) with some mouse poop in the couch. Sigh. Have no idea how it got there, but we've got a "humane" trap on order (read: feed to the voracious predators outside). But, in the process of searching for the almonds, I discovered an excellent way to let Isabella jump on the couch. I took the main cushion off and tilted it to the side, so she has a bit of a tunnel.

Some fun sayings: "Mommy needs to throw the ball to daddy". "Where'd the ball go, I don't know?", "Mommy put the pants on Isabella's bum".
This is Isabella's first picture. She actually asks for the camera, then says "cheese", then insists on "Isabella take the picture". We really need to get a cheap, indestructible camera...

Her favorite toy at the moment is the large stuffed pussy cat. We visited a friend with two young kids, and she watched while said kids "played" with a very, very patient kitty cat. Next day, she got the stuffed cat from where it's sat for the last couple months, and now it's her best friend. Well, she pounds on it, pulls it's ears, stuffs crackers in it's mouth...

And she's finally decided that she wants to play in the kick and play. She climbs in, then wants the toys put in so she can kick them.

We've been playing in the pool - we've started our baby "swim" class again. She loves running around in the water, and is learning to kick and splash. She actually sat all the way down (by accident) completely underwater. Seemed mostly unphazed, but a bit unhappy about the water in the eyes. She was actually doing the push-up position in the shallow water today.
