Worms and ducks

So one of Isabella's homework was suppose to be what do you know about worms. Here's what she knows:
1) The worms slither along the dirt and they know the robin's coming because they feel the vibration
2) They eat dead roots and dead plants
3) They don't have legs
4) They don't have arms and hands
5) They don't have feet
6) They can't draw - they sometimes draw with their tails
7) They don't have a head but they have a mouth
8) They don't like spiders
9) They eat bugs
10) They can't paint

 Ian has a bad habit of getting food out of the pantry and spilling it everywhere. In a compromise, we have given him several small bowls (most of the bird food bowls) and he now gets food out and puts it in the bowls. Then sits on the floor or puts the bowl on the chair and grabs some when he passes by.

I feel vaguely guilty that I'm feeding my child out of bird food bowls, but it has cut down greatly on the food detritus scattered around the house. (photo by Isabella)

In a feat of amazing strength, Isabella demonstrates her ability to pick up her brother. Many times. Given that she's 36 pounds, and he's 27, it's pretty impressive. He really likes it, too, and keeps asking "again!". He'll wrap arms and legs around her like a monkey and hang on tight while she hauls him around. We just try to get her to do it somewhere where there aren't sharp corners for him to be dropped on...

We're taking bets on how long it'll be before he ends up in the Emergency room. He's figured out how to crawl over the back of the couch, and we found him on top of the piano.
