Bunny love

She picked up her bunny and actually played with it, giving it kisses and hugs and carrying it around.

Her favorite food at the moment is clementines. I think she's eating at least two a day. She's gotten very good at pointing to particular locations in the kitchen to indicate what she wants to eat. Now if only she'd add a word or two to her vocabulary...

Christmas went a bit slow. She wasn't at all interested in the presents - I tried pointing at them to get her to pick one, but she was more interested in the ornaments. She did enjoy stripping the paper off, but then got frustrated when she couldn't grab what was under the paper, since it was covered in plastic. I had a terrible time figuring out how to get the bleedin' thing out of the box, but discovered cardboard tubes in the process, which were a big hit.

We managed to get four presents open, but then it was nap time. Then lunch time. Then Bill called his parents. Then it was nap time again (well, supposedly) then we went over to Ann and James for Christmas dinner. Isabella was so good - she wandered around, going from the living room to the kitchen (where she could see the doggy in the other room). Had a great time with a sport water bottle, eating crackers, and playing with the remote controls. Got out Ann's exercise ball, which is another favorite toy to push around and bang on.

This morning we opened the other presents. The soccer ball was good (she plays with the one at work) but the train was the biggest hit. She's still a little small to get on and off it, but she likes pushing it around and banging on the buttons. She did try to say "owl", we think, with the owl book/toy.

Christmas eve she fell asleep at 5, then slept all the way through (after one wake) until 8 the next morning. Today, she had a 10 minute nap at noon, then a 2 hour nap in the afternoon. That was after waking up at 6 in the am. Sigh. She does seem to be sleeping better at night, but she's getting harder to get to sleep initially, especially for naps. Although we are starting to just let her flop around on the bed between us and the wall. At some point she just flops down and goes to sleep.

Got the results of her lead test back - she's fine and well, no anemia.

We've been trying to stay on top of the EC'ing thing a bit more these two weeks, but with limited success. Mornings are ok, but she doesn't want to sit on the potty or backwards on the toilet later in the day, even when she has to go. She's also tugging at her diaper closures, so it may not be long before she figures out how to take them off. She still much prefers running around nakey backside...
