Ended up not taking any pictures at Whistler itself, just in the airport on the way home. Here shes is sitting in the chair (she asked to sit in the big people's chair) munching on biscuits.I thought I was doing really well - Ann gave me a hand getting everything packed up and cleaned up. Isabella slept through the night, waking up at 6:30, just in time to catch the 9:00am flight... only my flight was actually at 7:15. Well, they put me onto the next flight, but we ended up sitting in Dallas airport for 5 hours. Sigh.
There is a play area in Dallas, although it's really for bigger kids. A couple things to climb on and spin. Kept Isabella busy for a while - when we first got there there were two hyperactive boys tearing around. Isabella watched them when she wasn't sliding down the slide. After a few hours, though, she started taking off out of the play area and walking up and down the hallway. She was really happy when she could push the stroller around, so we did that for a while as well. The metal posts holding up the "form line here" were another favorite - she'd run around them and giggle.
After a very long time we got on the plane, which, unfortunately, was full. The chinese couple next to me didn't complain much about Isabella throwing everything on them, fortunately. Got chewed out by the stewardess when I was back in the galley trying to get Isabella to fall asleep for a while. A very long flight, all in all.
The drive up to Whistler wasn't too bad, although it wasn't much fun with all of the construction in the dark. Isabella did sleep the entire way up, though. We had a crib in the room, which she slept in some, until she woke up and wanted mom. It wasn't too bad having her sleep in the bed, except she's a bed hog and kept turning herself sideways, when she wasn't getting hugs from dad.
She had an excellent time at the day care. Seemed quite happy and even slept more than usual, although not too much of a surprise after the long day before.
Dad and Marilee came up and took her after day care for a little while. Isabella said "diaper" and kept trying to say Magic's name. She seems quite fascinated by doggies. We tried dinner out, although that didn't go as well as hoped - she just got fussy.
The drive back was really long, and although she slept for the first part of it, she wasn't very happy by the end. Happy as soon as she could get out and walk around.
The flight back went well - there was no one in the airport, and we had an empty seat between us. She was very happy pushing the stroller around and just walking around looking at her reflection in the tile floor.

Here she is getting something out of the stroller. She would point to the diaper bag (which had food) and say more, I'd get out what I'd brought (crackers and grapes) and she'd point at what she wanted. The nice lady at the food shop gave her some crackers.
