Carousel not moving

This is a birthday present from Rena. It took us about half an hour to get Isabella to look in the bag for her present. Guess she doesn't quite get the present thing yet.

We had Rena and Dylan over (David was sick). We smeared cupcake icing all over everything and blew bubbles. The next day Isabella said "had fun. See Rena have fun", so it couldn't have been too bad. She keeps asking to look at the pictures of Rena on the camera, too.

Bill took Isabella to the zoo last weekend, but the carousel was closed. Which was pretty traumatic, apparently. "No carousel not moving. Carousel closed" - we get it at least every twenty minutes or so. Mixed with the occasional "ride tiger, go up and down". This has replaced "David no borrow my cup".
Isabella had a small run in with a shopping cart at day care. Somehow Margo and Isabella smacked carts and both fell down. You can see where Isabella got a (tiny) cut over her eye. (Ouch! According to Isabella.)

She's gotten pretty clear about planes. She can tell me that Dad's on the plane, and we're going to the airport tomorrow to get him. And that Isabella gets to go to on Friday.

We opened presents on her birthday. We got her a painting easel (she kept looking at the picture and saying "he's painting") some assembly required. She clearly understands thermarests - we wrapped it up for her to unwrap, then she unrolled it and started blowing it up.

She really liked the stickers - she promptly put them all over the card from Grandpa and Nana. And she now puts them on without putting them all on top of each other.

She promptly put the PJs on (on top of her clothes). Then got upset and we had to take them all back off again.

Her new entertainments are running at high speed around and around from the kitchen to the dining room, usually while chasing one of us or dragging one of us along with her, and jumping up and down on one of us. She's also taken to brushing my hair (still doesn't want hers brushed).

Pacifiers are still a favorite, usually multiple ones at a time. She'll try to carry four of them around at one time.
And she's got one piece of halloween candy left. She's a bit unclear that there are different types of candy - the candy sprinkles for the cupcakes were also halloween candy. Not sure what we're going to do when it's gone. We've been letting her eat one piece (when she remembers) in the evening. Guess we can always go back to jelly beans.
