She's been getting better about tummy time - she actually went from sitting to tummy on her own today, then proceeded to go backwards. She hasn't quite figured out that get the knees under you thing, so she gets a little annoyed that she's going in the wrong direction. But she seems happier now that she can actually do something on her tummy. Here she's backed herself up against the coffee table and got her foot stuck in the cube.

Bath time is becoming more fun too - she's actually playing in her yellow ducky bath tub, splashing water, pounding the little ducky against the bath tub side, trying to reach the faucet, and waving her wash cloth around. She can also turn herself all the way around in there.

The tummy bug seems to have (mostly) sorted itself out. We had a small, thick one this morning but a bit of a blow out at day care. It's a bit frustrating that after all this time being mostly no-poop-in-diaper we're getting so many misses. But I've been talking to other moms of EC'd babes of this age (on MDC), and they're all having the same problems. So it's nice to know I'm not alone.

She also thinks it's great fun to throw herself backwards into my lap when sitting on the potty. Her way of saying "I'm done". Makes it a bit difficult to get her back off, though. She actually half-stood up off the potty for Bill yesterday.

Day care went better today. They gave her snacks while I was leaving and (at least the second time) she (almost) wasn't crying when I left.

I see definite signs of a front tooth - you can make out the white bumps. I tried to get a picture, but she wasn't having any of it. Soon there won't be a safe way to put a finger in her mouth...

She's gotten very good at picking up her cereal - almost all of it is going in her and not on the floor. We tried broccoli; the first night was good, but she preferred the blueberries the second night.

She went with me to a meeting on Monday, which was ok but a bit noisy. She never really got an afternoon nap (although she had a 2 1/2 hour nap in the morning) so she was kind of fussy, and very vocal. She enjoyed making faces at Sarah, though. And she really seemed to follow the conversation sometimes.

We've had a few times when it seems like she's handing her toys back to us. Don't know if it's for real, or just accidental. But she does have a good high-five, and has even done it with random people (Bill's doing).

Monday night was a disaster. She went for a walk with Bill for an hour, then nursed for an hour, and then Bill finally got her to sleep. Although, she did sleep for several hours after that.

We have two teeth, with the top two poking through (welcome to no-sleep nights again!) Isabella likes to chew on washclothes, so I've just been letting her do that. After Real Food we try to remember to give her water to wash her teeth off.

We've been doing solids regularly two times a day - breakfast and dinner. All self fed, and she just keeps stuffing it all in - then nursing like crazy before and after (and all night as well - nice to know there's someone else in the same boat). So no worries about supply. She's actually started to anticipate cereal in the morning - she wants me to pick her up and take her downstairs in stead of hanging out in bed, then grabs at all the breakfast stuff and wriggles like crazy. She is soooo happy when we put her in the high chair.

And still not rolling, although she's scooting backwards. We started day care two days a week, and I think she's been inspired by the other babies. She'll turn herself around while sitting and scooch around - I think she's going to get to crawling from sitting.
