Sleep, what sleep?

I knew it was too good to last... someone's back to waking up every couple ours and just refuses to go to sleep. Tuesday night we tried stroller, walking, bouncy seat, nursing, rocking/swaying, bouncy seat, nursing, in that order - roughly two and a half hours to get her to go to sleep. I'm standing there with her, swaying back and forth in the dark, and she's playing with my hair, my shirt sleeves, my collar, my face - doing anything she can to keep herself from falling asleep. Sigh. We skipped and shortened a couple of the steps last night, but basically the same thing. On the plus side, though, she seems to be willing to pee in the potty at night again. I just lift her onto my chest and sort of lay her backside across the potty and cue. No fussing that way.

Day care has been going better - happy baby. She got to play with bubbles and go outside and play in the water. She's hardly crying at all when we leave, and stops once we're out of sight. Still not sleeping much, but enough to keep her from being fussy. They feed her snacks, which she really likes. She's starting to be a bit more selective in what she eats - carrots are good.

Went to music class on Wednesday, and she got into it a bit more. She banged on the drums with the other kids, and rubbed her sticks together - don't know if it was on purpose, but she did seem to be mimicking. She loves watching the instructor. There's this one bit where everyone is suppose to play an instrument (drums and bells and such) and the music has these three pauses where everyone stops then starts again. Da da ... then little bell ringing as Isabella happily shakes her bell in the quiet... all three times...

She's been sitting outside with the grandparents, although we have to be a bit careful of the mosquitoes, which are bad this year.

We've been doing a bit better with the poop catches; thank goodness, because today's one and only little poop was kinda nasty. Bill caught one with only a small pffttt as a warning. I am learning to place her little backside on the potty... We had another miss at daycare (actually, two, but I didn't have to clean up the other one). You'd think I'd learn to check her pants *before* going down to the bathroom.
